took a shower in the dark again tonight.
with Henry, of course.
music and the dim-lit-ness of my computer makes for a better shower than fluorescent overhead light.

is what its looking to be.

began with an insane impromptu Halloween. no details needed.

then my body decided that it would catch strep from my little kiddies, and it did not want to let me get out of bed for two days straight.

[Now, I am behind in my classwork, and am currently taking a my normal migraine meds 2x daily, a steroid, an antibiotic 4x a day, and tylenol if necessary. Drugged.]

THEN!!! we played UNC on Saturday beat their bums for the 5th year in a row! wahoo! I did make it out of bed for a couple of hours to catch that. I had to-its my senior year.

Saturday night, Body said yeah you wanted to go to the football game? alright well you are going to hang out in bed again. ha.

This week has been a blur. Thanksgiving is soon. Then Christmas. Then Student Teaching. EEP.

For now, I think I’ll just have a drink and enjoy the weekend.

so. I have been in this rut. an educational rut, if you will. I do not want to do my school work. I do not want to write these papers, I do not want to reconstruct these lesson plans to your format, and I most certainly do not want to reorganize my notes. I just want to be creative, and go outside, and get back into sports. My mind is constantly in an armed battle with itself. I cannot even tell who is winning. I am not getting enough sleep and my mind is constantly on what I need to do but what I am not doing. I do not know how to get out of this.

I need to become more strictly regimented with my time. and my internet usage. it has gotten out of hand.

Georgia with the triplets for a week for science camp [and some gorgeous photos of the girls]

NC State Gymnastics Camp/work for 4 days.

Ecuador! for a week.

Raleigh/Thomasville for neurologist appt/haircut/ Gary’s memorial service.

Bald Head with Alex’s family for a few days.

Work [with new products in production!]

Have had a quite a few lately…

thankfully, I went to Durham last night where I spent some quality time with a great friend.

First, we went to toast, where i had a great chicken panini among other things.
Then, we went for a stroll and sat on top of a parking deck and took in Durham. There was a baseball game going on as well as a Josh Turner concert at DPAC (saw Wicked there last year- incredible).
We ended the night at Fullsteam Brewery, a place I have been lusting over for quite some time now. It definitely held up to my expectations.

Thankful to have time to sit and breathe. I keep forgetting to do that. will definitely be on the agenda for the future.

Summer Resolution

I have saved many recipes on my computer over the year that I would like to try out. However, I have yet to delight in any of these creations.

-succotash (a summer staple)
-chicken pita
-pasta salad without mayo. ew mayo.
-spicy chicken dip goodness
-some kind of cheese fondue
-espresso truffles
-thai ish food- peanut noodles etc.

going to do a new recipe once a week. pictures and things maybe as I go along?
